Not sure that this really needs and introduction…
Some days I am just so focused on the music-making side of things and rehearsing that I get somewhat stuck on my blog. I am ALWAYS saying, I’m gonna write about writing my dog and see if anyone reads about it. So HERE IT IS!

If you’re anything like me…you’re human. Everyone gets frustrated at times, in fact, most people get frustrated a LOT throughout one entire day. If you add all of that up during the week, month, or year, thats like 23492349273589792734298347294 times you’re getting frustrated.
And at some point, that frustration gets the best of you, and you lose it and can’t focus one whatever it is you need to do. Here are a few tips on how to stare that frustration in the face and make it hit the road!
We all have them. We all don’t want to tell people what they are. But I’m going to reveal mine today. Whenever I have time, I will try and indulge in at least one of these because, well, you’ll find out why!
First of all, everyone has to have at least ONE guilty pleasure television show. I don’t care if you NEVER watch TV, there should be SOMETHING that you know you can get sucked into. I have a few…sad, but so true.

Today I want to tell you about my 5 favorite songs for summer. Not just from this year, but songs that I throw on EVERY summer that just makes me throw my feet up and relax. When I listen to these songs, I know it’s summer time.
1) Summertime- DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. No brainer. It screams summer. It’s sung throughout the whole freakin’ song. It’s great though, because it’s a light and upbeat song and it just makes me think of going to the beach and hanging out with some friends.

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I did a long walk in my childhood neighborhood for Breast Cancer. It was great. And then I saw my mom later last night and spent some time with her and that was really nice.
I love May. The ONLY problem I have with this time of year is that it TRIES to knock me off my feet with allergies. This year was even worse because we had a warm winter, AND everything started blooming early.
I am one who worries more than the average person, so I stress myself into symptoms and make myself MISERABLE!

I’m so excited to be recording. It’s been my dream to be a real, professional recording artist since I was a young child.
It started in my dad’s “work room” we called it. He set up shop with an 8-track and other equipment with a mic and memorabilia of his favorite artists. I thought it was the coolest thing. My favorite part of the room was the microphone and the stand with the wind screen.

I was never super hugely into tanning, but in my late teens I worked at a tanning salon for 2 years and could tan whenever I wanted. I would tan once a week or small handful of times every few weeks.
I was on the more pale side of the “tanners”, and every single day there would be these YOUNG girls coming in looking young and then when I’d stare them in the face it was as if they aged 20 years!

There will be a lot more behind-the-scenes stuff like, studio life, traveling things, me hangin with some great people who do some great things for me, and of course my original songs! I did a video yesterday (oops, I am slow with uploading videos!) talking about…well, that day.
I can only talk about this now that I’ve gone through it and have worked hard to get past it. I went through writer’s block for nearly two years, and as a songwriter, that’s so damaging to your creativity.
It was one of the most difficult things I’ve had to experience because I felt like I had lost part of my talent and that I would never get it back again.
I felt that I was unable and not capable of expressing myself anymore, and so I retreated and stopped using music and writing as my outlet. That led to some pretty outlandish things that didn’t help me truly express my emotions or my natural creativity.
