.Cover As Promised.

.cover time.

I said in my last two videos that I’d be covering a Butch Walker song because I’m still coming off of that high from going to see him live and, oh yeah, hanging out with him.

So thank you for being patient with me, last week was sort of weird and the weekend was even weirder… I was feeling sick and a bit funky, but not the good kind of funky.

I decided to cover Butch’s song “Closest Thing To You I’m Gonna Find”. I picked it because this is Butch in his prime songwriting… he has his own unique way that breaks the “norm” of how songwriters THINK they are supposed to write.  I love it.

Even before I discovered him, I wrote differently, in a very similar way… and the fact that he is so loved as a songwriter gives me that same hope to be different as a songwriter and accepted for it.

Here is my cover…And now I’m not wearing the same thing as my last video. That’s gross.

For those of you that are already fans of BW, you’ll understand what I mean by brilliantly different.

Writing is really coming along, I’m ready to hit the studio and lay down this new material. I can’t wait for you all to hear it…to hear ME.
